I built Funky Rustic so the work could stand under a name larger than just me, while still keeping the focus where it belongs: making the best audio possible for the project in front of us.

The goal is steady, meaningful work, room to breathe now and then, and audio that feels specific to the game instead of assembled from standard solutions.

From Epic Games to Funky Rustic, Alexander Brandon has spent decades building music, sound, voice, and audio direction across landmark titles including Unreal, Deus Ex, Skyrim, and Wasteland 3.

Deus Ex remains the biggest legacy title in the catalog, while Wasteland 3 and its DLCs are the body of work that still keeps Alex especially relevant with teams hiring today.

Based in Seattle, Funky Rustic stays intentionally focused: senior craft, direct collaboration, and flexible support without pretending to be a giant studio.
