Alpha Protocol

On this project audio direction was by Alexander Brandon and Scott Lawlor. Alex also provided music, sound design and dialogue coordination, as well as supervising electronic artist BT for the game’s main theme. Alpha Protocol features gameplay that allows the player to solve problems with stealth, action or sabotage, so the sounds and music need to be fairly dynamic. The game itself influences the player in a way that the music and sounds imply when stealth and silent takedowns would be a more effective method. In addition, this game features a conversation system that is pretty advanced. In previous role playing games there would be unnatural silences while the player makes choices in the conversation. In this game the conversations are timed to allow the player to respond more quickly, providing a much more realistic and cinematic experience.
